The UK-based label Soundway has a beautiful album with music from Palenque published, San Basilio de Palenque is a small village with a great history. The village is located in the south of Cartagena, Colombia (not to be confused with Palenque in Mexico), and is referred to as the first free location the continent, since it was founded in 1700 by approximately escaped African slaves. His music and traditions have greatly beeinflust the culture of the country, especially in rhythms like cumbia, or champeta Bullerengue. In the 70's the region's artists have rediscovered the music afrikanishce based con Fela Kuti and his Afrobeat. Here is a muesten the Afro-Colombian music that gets the Soundway Album:
